George Radojčić
He was born in 1987 in Sarajevo, but has lived in Prague all his life. At the age of four, he developed epilepsy, which marked the next course of his life – he finished primary school at the age of secondary school graduates and was immediately admitted to the graphic studio of Jiří Lindovský at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague as a distinctive talent without any entrance exams. He did not finish his studies, but continued to paint with an unrestrained creativity and has already made his mark on the world with a number of exhibitions (most often at the Artinbox gallery in Prague).
Even his collaboration with the Studio of Joyful Creation at Letná is a strange story – his first visit around 2014 discouraged him, to say the least, but after five years he returned and on the contrary he began to seek out this environment. He resolved to create a large-scale cycle of oil paintings, estimated at hundreds of canvases, in which he would map the entire course of history from the earliest times to the present day. He is particularly attracted to battles and war scenes from ancient epics, clashes between huge armies, but he is also gradually capturing stories from the Bible, Dante’s Divine Comedy and other literary sources. His figure drawings also have an unmistakable signature.
